Sam's middle sister (Catherine), who has been having numerous stress related health problems over the past few months, visited the doctor this week upon having more serious conditions. All the symptoms initially pointed to Hepatitis C, but further tests showed masses on her liver and lesions on her lungs. Radiologists are rather certain she has a very aggressive cancer, but the pathologist has been unable to find malignant cells in any of the 13 liver samples (2 separate biopsies) and has only found some suspicious cells. All of the cells, however, have been necrotic, indicating that Catherine's liver is in very bad shape. If this is cancer, she will have to undergo chemotherapy; if not, a liver transplant will most likely be needed. There is a good chance that she will be sedated next week for yet another liver biopsy, in which they will take a larger sample.
Please beseech the Lord our God with us that, as far as it is His will, He would grant wisdom to the doctors as they diagnose and treat her condition, and that He would restore her health. Pray, also, that we would all willingly submit to whatever His will is, and that He would be glorified through all of this.
